High-Volume Mobile Consumer Authentication

MobiSecure™ Strong Authentication product is a fully automated, industry standards based strong authentication product. It is designed to be easy-to-deploy and easy-to-use for high-volume Internet or wireless based strong authentication of user identity. It operates on mobile phones or personal computers and can also be embedded into microchip or smart card technologies.

The system consists of the client-side MobiSecure SoftToken, a software token that is easily delivered, downloaded, and embedded in a user's mobile phone or personal computer. It could also be preloaded into a USB stick. At the server-side is the MobiSecure Provisioning Server, the engine of the system that does the SoftToken over-the-air (OTA) provisioning, and the MobiSecure Validation Server for ongoing one-time password (OTP) validation for user authentication. The MobiSecure servers also provide lifecycle and system management functions.

MobiSecure™ Strong Authentication Product Components

MobiSecure SoftToken - Client-side software token easily delivered and downloaded to a user's mobile phone or PC, for managing and generating one-time passwords.

MobiSecure USBToken - is a One Time Password (OTP) authentication technology contained within a durable, portable USB device which is driverless and leaves no residual footprint on the user’s computer.

MobiSecure Provisioning Server - Provides online or over-the air registration, delivery and activation of SoftTokens.

MobiSecure Validation Server - Provides the OTP password validation for ongoing user authentication.

MobiSecure SMS Server - Provides SMS (Short Message Services) one-time password validation to SMS enabled mobile phones.

MobiSecure Toolkits - Software Development Kits for multiple client and server platforms, allowing application developers to seamlessly integrate Diversinet strong authentication in their mobile and web based applications.

Easy to Interface and Flexible to Deploy

The MobiSecure Authentication product may be interfaced with existing customer applications and services, such as online banking applications, via a standard web services interface. The solution is available either as hosted service provided by Diversinet or as an in-premise customer product.

Based on OATH Industry Standard for Open Authentication

Diversinet's one-time password authentication product is based on the OATH (Initiative for Open AuTHentication, www.openauthentication.org) HOTP algorithm and reference architecture, an open industry authentication framework that has been adopted and supported by many leading security companies.
